Microlab Basic Listeria monocytogenes plus is a qualitative test for the simultaneous detection of Listeria spp. and Listeria monocytogenes in food and environmental samples.

GENERAL INFORMATION:Microlab Basic Listeria monocytogenes plus is a qualitative test for the simultaneous detection of Listeria spp. and Listeria monocytogenes in food and environmental samples. This test allows the determination, within 27 hours, of the absence of L. monocytogenes in 25 g of food, in accordance with current legislation. The procedure includes two steps: sample enrichment and detection with a rapid test. If the result is positive for Listeria spp. but negative for L. monocytogenes, the presence of L. monocytogenes should be confirmed through an extension of the enrichment, followed by a new rapid test. This strategy enables the confirmation of the absence of Listeria in a reduced time, while reserving the extended procedure exclusively for cases that require confirmation of the specific presence of L. monocytogenes.
