GENERAL INFORMATION: The SARS coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and human respiratory syncytial virus (HRSV) are two notable RNA viruses that pose significant respiratory health challenges worldwide. Both viruses can cause severe respiratory diseases and have unique characteristics and modes of transmission. SARS-CoV is a positive, single-stranded RNA virus from the family Coronaviridae, genus Betacoronavirus, responsible for severe acute respiratory syndrome, a zoonotic disease. Initial symptoms resemble the flu, including fever, muscle pain, cough, and sore throat, often leading to pneumonia. Transmission primarily occurs through respiratory droplets from coughs or sneezes. The 2002-2003 outbreak impacted 17 countries, resulting in thousands of cases and hundreds of deaths. HRSV is an enveloped, negative-sense, single-stranded RNA virus from the family Paramyxoviridae. It is a leading cause of lower respiratory infections in infants, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals. HRSV is classified into two main groups, HRSV-A and HRSV-B, with multiple genotypes. Transmission is primarily through aerosol droplets and contact, with no known animal vectors.

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Human Influenza type A and B virus

Human Influenza type A and B virus detection test kit by using qPCR. Influenza is an infectious disease caused by an influenza virus. Symptoms can be mild to severe and include high fever, runny nose, sore throat, muscle and joint pain, headache, coughing, and feeling tired. Three of the four types of influenza viruses affect humans: type A, type B, and type C, but the responsible for the seasonal flu are main types A and B. This assay can be used to simultaneously detect the causative agents of the seasonal flu, HIAV, and HIBV.
