DESCRIPTION:
This kit is a qPCR assay for the detection of Haemophilus parasuis in porcine sample.
SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION:
Haemophilus parasuis is the agent of Glasser disease. Although polyserositis is the most typical condition associated with H. parasuis infection, other conditions such as pneumonia, septicemia, meningitis and arthritis are also described. H. parasuis is a fastidious organism and its isolation is often difficult. By contrast realtime qPCR allows a rapid, sensitive and specific detection.
