Description
The Real Time PCR detection Kit Monkeypox virus clade 1b comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Monkeypox virus clade 1b detection by using qPCR.
GENERAL INFORMATION:Monkeypox virus is a double-stranded DNA virus belonging to the Orthopoxvirus genus in the Poxviridae family. Monkeypox virus causes disease in various animals, including humans. Symptoms begin with fever, headache, muscle pains, swollen lymph nodes, and feeling tired. This is followed by a rash that forms blisters and crusts over. Transmission primarily occurs through contact with infected animals or their bodily fluids, while human-to-human transmission happens via skin-to-skin contact. Monkeypox is endemic in tropical rainforest regions of Central and West Africa but, since 2003, some outbreaks occur periodically in different countries around the world. There are two distinct clades of the virus: clade 1 (with subclades 1a and 1b) and clade 2 (with subclades 2a and 2b). In August 2024, outbreaks of clade 1b were detected beyond Africa, which is a strain with higher transmissibility and more severe clinical outcomes. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared monkeypox a public health emergency of international concern twice, first on May 2022 and the second time on August 2024.
KIT CHARACTERISTICS:
- Assay Mix Target composed by singleplex mixtures of specific forward/reverse primers and probe.
- Resuspension buffer
- DNase/RNase free water
- (OPTIONAL) Internal Control Assay Mix
- Mastermix solution
- Positive control

It is the classic cause of the childhood rash called fifth disease or erythema infectiosum, or “slapped cheek syndrome.”

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Puumala virus
Detection test kit of Puumala virus by using qPCR. Puumala virus is a species of Hantavirus. Humans infected with the virus may develop a hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) known as a nephropathic epidemic. Because the bank vole (Myodes glareolus) acts as a reservoir for the virus, nephropathic epidemic cases track with the vole population in a three- to a four-year cycle.
