The Real Time PCR detection Kit Escherichia coli ompT comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Escherichia coli ompT detection by using qPCR.

GENERAL INFORMATION:Escherichia coli bacteria typically reside in the intestines of humans and animals. Most E. coli strains are harmless and play an essential role in maintaining a healthy human intestinal tract. However, some strains are pathogenic, meaning they can cause illness, including diarrhoea or infections outside the intestinal tract. The types of E. coli that can cause diarrhoea may be transmitted through contaminated food or water, or via contact with infected animals or humans. The ompT gene encodes a protein that may help E. coli persist longer in the urinary tract by enabling it to resist the antimicrobial activity of urinary cationic peptides.
