    The Real Time PCR detection Kit Azole resistance cyp51A comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Azole resistance cyp51A detection by using qPCR.

    GENERAL INFORMATION:Aspergillus fumigatus is the predominant etiological agent of invasive aspergillosis. Survival of affected individuals has significantly improved with the use of azole antifungals. Azoles inhibit Cyp51, decreasing ergosterol production and causing eburicol accumulation, which in turn leads to the increased production of toxic C14-methylated sterols. The major resistance mechanism is presumed to be of environmental origin and involves a combination of point mutations in the cyp51A gene sequence and the insertion of tandem repeats in the promoter of this gene. Although A. fumigatus expresses two Cyp51 isoenzymes (Cyp51A and Cyp51B), azole resistance mechanisms are rarely linked to mutations in Cyp51B.
