Description
Detection of Vibrio spp. in food products, animal feedstuff and environmental samples. Pre-enrichment broth according to ISO/TS 21872-1-2007 (recommended). For use in real time PCR instruments with FAM and ROX channels.
BACKGROUND: Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio Vulnificus are waterborne and foodborn pathogens. Vibrio cholerae especially causes gastrointestinal disorders with a wide range of clinical manifestations, including vomiting and rice-like diarrhea. On the other hand, Vibrio parahaemolyticus is found worldwide in estuarine waters and is a leading cause of gastroenteritis. Typically, human infections by Vibrio species result from the consumption of raw or undercooked seafood. The detection and identification of these species are usually made based on culture and biochemical tests that are time-consuming and laborious and sometimes not accurate. Therefore, an effective method for the detection of both V. cholerae, V. parahaemolyticus and Vibrio vulnificus is mandatory.
In vitro amplification of DNA by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) has become a powerful alternative in microbiological diagnostics due to its rapidity and accuracy, in particular using real time PCR and specific fluorescent probes.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Condagene Vibrio spp uses real-time PCR for the detection of Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio vulnificus in a simple, reliable, and rapid procedure. The assay is based on 5’ nuclease real time PCR reactions to amplify a unique genomic sequence in the target microorganism. The carefully designed primers and probe ensure highest sensitivity and specificity. The kit consists of an assay mix for the detection of the pathogen as well as a positive control and an internal control (IC).
PRODUCT FEATURES:
-Amplification and detection of Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio vulnificus
-Real-time PCR with rapid hot-start Taq DNA polymerase
-Internal Control to exclude false-negative results
-PCR- platforms: runs on all established standard real-time PCR- platforms
-Channel Pathogen: FAM, Channel IC: ROX

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Vibrio spp.
Vibrio spp. detection test kit by using qPCR. Vibrio are commonly found in marine or estuarine environments. However, they can be found in freshwater environments as well. Several species of the Vibrio genus can cause foodborne infection, usually associated with eating undercooked seafood. Despite most disease-causing strains being associated with gastroenteritis, can also infect open wounds and cause septicemia. Many Vibrio species are also zoonotic. They cause disease in fish and shellfish and are common causes of mortality among marine life. Some examples of pathogenic Vibrio species include V. cholera, V. parahaemolyticus, and V. vulnificus.

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Vibrio parahaemolyticus
Vibrio parahaemolyticus by using qPCR. Vibrio parahaemolyticus when ingested, causes gastrointestinal illness in humans. While infection can occur via the fecal-oral route, ingestion of bacteria in raw or undercooked seafood, usual oysters, is the predominant cause of the acute gastroenteritis caused by V. parahaemolyticus. Wound infections also occur, but are less common than seafood-borne diseases.
