Bovine Calves Intestinal Multiplex (CIM)-Virus Bovicheck qPCR Kit

It is a Real Time PCR kit to detect and quantify RVA, BVDV, BoTV and BCoV.

GENERAL INFORMATION:Infectious neonatal diarrhea is an economically significant disease in cattle due to a high rate of morbidity and mortality. Disease can be caused by several pathogens, acting either alone or in combination. Common agents include bacteria such as Escherichia coli (K99) and Salmonella spp, parasites such as Cryptosporidium spp and Giardia duodenalis, and viruses such as group A Rotavirus (RVA), Bovine coronavirus (BCoV), Bovine torovirus (BoTV), and Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV). Given multifactorial etiology of neonatal diarrhea, the most appropriate method to detect pathogens involved is Real-Time qPCR (RT-qPCR). Indeed it is faster, more sensitive and specific than traditional bacteriological culture. Moreover, its multiplexing capacity allows simultaneous detection of several pathogens at the same time allowing to reduce the cost of testing. The Biovet Bovichek® CIM-Virus qPCR kit is intended to detect group A Rotavirus (RVA), Bovine coronavirus (BCoV), Bovine torovirus (BoTV), and Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV infection in the same reaction with a high sensitivity.

SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION:Biovet Bovichek® CIM-Virus qPCR kit contains FAM, VIC, ABY and JUN labeled probes for the specific identification and quantification of RVA, BVDV, BoTV and BCoV, respectively. This kit provides every component of the qPCR reaction (buffers, enzyme, dNTPs, specific primers and probes for the pathogen and an endogenous amplification control. RVA, BVDV, BoTV and BCoV genome amplification will be detected through FAM, VIC, TAMRA or ABY and ROX or JUN channel, respectively. This kit can also identify false negative results by measuring the endogenous amplification control (EAC) fluorescent signal through CY5 channel. A synthetic RVA, BVDV, BoTV and BCoV positive control is provided for relative and absolute quantification.
