BACGene Mplex STEC Screen

The BACGene Mplex STEC screen real-time PCR detection kit provides materials for a rapid and reliable detection of shigatoxins encoded for by the stx1 and stx2 genes and another genetic marker eae, which encodes for the adhesion factor Intimin, is known to enhance the virulence of STEC. It can be used as a screening step in the Top7 workflow or a confirmation following a positive PCR result for O157. Detects DNA in several food products and environmental samples from food production facilities. The kit is intended to be used in analytical laboratories and may also be applied for other purposes in food product research and analysis fields, e.g. microbial monitoring of production processes. The BACGene STEC TOP7 Workflow is AOAC Performance Tested Method.
The BACGene Mplex STEC Screen kit provides materials for the qualitative detection of potentially shiga-toxigenic Escherichia coli (STEC) in food and environmental samples when monitoring production processes by analysing stx1, stx2 and eae in a fast and reliable probe-based real-time PCR approach. The kit is intended to be used by trained laboratory personnel. The BACGene Mplex STEC Screen kit is validated for use with the Agilent AriaMx™, Bio-Rad CFX96 Touch™∗ and CFX96 Touch™ Deep Well PCR platforms.
