Description
The Real Time PCR Detetion Kit Veillonella spp. comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Veillonella spp. detection by using qPCR.
GENERAL INFORMATION:Veillonella is a genus of Gram-negative cocci that belongs to the Veillonellaceae family. These bacteria are part of the normal microbiota of the human oral cavity, gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary tract, but may act as opportunistic pathogens. They are associated with polymicrobial infections, including periodontal disease, endocarditis, bacteraemia, osteomyelitis and abscess formation. The clinical manifestations depend on the site of infection and may include local inflammation, pain, fever and systemic signs in invasive cases. Transmission is generally endogenous, arising from disruption of mucosal barriers or dysbiosis, rather than being spread from person to person. Veillonella species are distributed worldwide as common commensals of humans and animals.
KIT CHARACTERISTICS:
- Assay Mix Target composed by singleplex mixtures of specific forward/reverse primers and probe.
- Resuspension buffer
- DNase/RNase free water
- (OPTIONAL) Internal Control Assay Mix
- Mastermix solution
- Positive control
