Microcystins Dipstick Test Kit (QuikLyse™) – Source Drinking Water
The Microcystins Dipstick Test Kit (QuikLyse™) is a rapid screening test for the qualitative detection of microcystins in source water intended for drinking water production.
Microcystins are cyanobacterial toxins produced by several genera of blue-green algae and are widely detected in freshwater environments. Among the numerous microcystin variants, Microcystin-LR is one of the most common. Exposure can occur through the ingestion of contaminated drinking or recreational water, and these toxins can affect liver function and inhibit serine/threonine protein phosphatases.
The integrated QuikLyse™ technology simplifies sample preparation and enables rapid testing without the need for complex laboratory equipment. This makes the dipstick format particularly suitable for routine screening of source water and rapid assessment before the water treatment process.
Available formats:
520019: 5 tests
520020: 20 tests
Ideal for: Water utilities, drinking water treatment plants and environmental monitoring teams screening source water for microcystin contamination.
