DNAnimal Screen Mammal & Bird IPC
Real-time PCR kit for the qualitative detection of mammalian and avian DNA in food and feed samples.
The DNAnimal Screen Mammal & Bird IPC kit is designed for the broad screening of mammalian and avian DNA in food and feed matrices from which DNA of sufficient quality and quantity can be extracted. It serves as an efficient first-line screening tool prior to species-specific identification using individual DNAnimal kits. Please note that human DNA is also detected by this assay, as humans are mammals, making good laboratory practices essential to prevent contamination. The assay does not detect reptile or amphibian DNA.
An Internal Positive Control (IPC) is included in the Master Mix and is co-amplified in every reaction to monitor PCR inhibition, ensuring reliable results and minimizing the risk of false-negative outcomes.
