Description
Product Description: The Carbamazepine ELISA is an immunoassay for the quantitative and sensitive detection of Carbamazepine in water samples. A pre-sample concentration step is not required. If necessary, positive samples can be confirmed by HPLC or other conventional methods.
The test is a direct competitive ELISA based on the specific recognition of Carbamazepine by antibodies. Carbamazepine, when present in a sample, and a Carbamazepine-HRP analogue compete for the binding sites of mouse anti-Carbamazepine antibodies in solution. The Carbamazepine antibodies are then bound by a second antibody (goat anti-mouse) immobilized on the plate.
After a washing step and the addition of the substrate solution, a colour signal is generated. The intensity of the blue colour is inversely proportional to the concentration of Carbamazepine present in the sample. The colour reaction is stopped after a specified time and the colour is evaluated using an ELISA reader. Sample concentrations are determined by interpolation using the standard curve constructed with each run.
Kit Features
• Quantitative and sensitive detection
Designed for the quantitative detection of Carbamazepine in water samples.
• Direct competitive ELISA
Based on the specific recognition of Carbamazepine by anti-Carbamazepine antibodies.
• No pre-concentration required
The sample does not require a pre-concentration step before analysis.
• Easy result evaluation
Colour development is measured using a standard ELISA reader, with sample concentrations determined from the standard curve.
• Confirmation of positive samples
Positive samples can, if necessary, be confirmed by HPLC or other conventional methods.
