qPCR kit for the detection of Staphylococcus uberis in milk of cattle.

DESCRIPTION:
This is a qPCR assay for the detection of Streptococcus uberis genome in bovine sample.

SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION:
Streptococcus uberis is a ubiquitous bacteria involved in the development of the mastitis disease which causes important economic losses around de world due to the reduction of milk production. Its infection is usually subclinical; however, it occasionally cause severe disease in lactating cows. This pathogen is relatively resistant and therefore is found in milk, udder, animal skin, pasture, or soil. Molecular biology techniques are a sensitive tool to detect positive animals analyzing different kind of samples, mainly milk. Control programs to reduce the incidence of this pathogen in herds might be successfully implemented with qPCR tests because of its speed of response and sensitivity.

CHARACTERISTICS:
- Test per kit: 50 samples
- qPCR Results within two hours

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Streptococcus agalactiae

Streptococcus agalactiae detection test kit by using qPCR. Streptococcus agalactiae (also known as group B Streptococcus) was originally discovered as a cause of bovine mastitis (present also in related ungulates) and is part of the normal bacterial flora colonizing the gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary tract of the human population. S. agalactiae poses a serious threat to lives of neonates and to lives of human. This microorganism is considered one of the major causes of economic losses to dairy producers without a control program.

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Streptococcus spp.

Streptococcus spp. detection test kit by using qPCR. Streptococcus are not pathogenic and form part of the commensal microbiota of the mouth, skin, intestine, and upper respiratory tract. However, some Streptococcus species infect a barrage of different animals, including humans, with diseases such as pink eye, meningitis, bacterial pneumonia, endocarditis, erysipelas and necrotizing fasciitis. Some of these relevant pathogenic species are S. agalactiae, S. dysgalactiae, S. bovis, S. suis, S. pneumoniae or S. gallolyticus.
