Real Time PCR Detection Kit Newcastle disease virus

Background:Newcastle disease virus (NDV) detection by using qPCR.
NDV is responsible for a contagious bird disease affecting many domestic and wild avian species, also transmissible to humans. First found in Newcastle upon Tyne, the United Kingdom in 1926, then by Burnet in 1943 in Australia in connection with laboratory infection. The virus NDV (Paramyxoviridae) has a negative-sense, single-stranded RNA genome (ca. 15 Kb). Its effects are most notable in domestic poultry due to their high susceptibility and the potential for severe impacts of an epizootic on the poultry industry. It is endemic to many countries.
