Real Time PCR Detection Kit Moraxella bovoculi

Background:Moraxella bovoculi detection by using qPCR.
Moraxella bovoculi is a Gram-negative, non-motile bacterium belonging to the Moraxellaceae family. Recently, M. bovoculi has been described as associated with the infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis, usually caused by M. bovis, an eye disease of cattle also known as pinkeye or New Forest eye. It is the most common ocular disease of cattle and manifests as corneal ulceration and edema, ocular pain, photophobia and lacrimation. Animals that recover develop varying degrees of corneal scarring, while permanent blindness follows corneal rupture in severe cases. Genetic studies suggest that different strain types of M. bovoculi may not be associated with infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis.
