Real Time PCR Detection Kit Foot-and-mouth disease virus type O

Background:Foot-and-mouth disease virus type O (FMDV-O) species by using qPCR.
Foot-and-mouth disease or hoof-and-mouth disease (Aphthae epizooticae) is an infectious and sometimes fatal viral disease that affects cloven-hoofed animals, including domestic and wild animals. FMD is highly infectious and can be spread by infected animals through aerosols, through contact with contaminated farming equipment, vehicles, clothing, or feed, and by domestic and wild predators. FMD is caused by a picornavirus, non-enveloped, positive-stranded RNA viruses with an icosahedral capsid and genetically highly variable, which limits the effectiveness of vaccination. Of the seven described serotypes of this virus, A, C, O, Asia 1 and SAT3 appear to be distinct lineages; SAT 1 and SAT 2 are unresolved clades. Type O is the most prevalent of the seven serotypes and occurs in many parts of the world. Eight distinct genetic lineages are identified, which fall into geographically distinct regions: Europe-South America, Middle East-South Asia, South-East Asia, Cathay (China and East Tartary), West Africa, East Africa, Indonesia-1, and Indonesia-2.
