Fungi in Humans

Diagnostic kits that allow the detection of fungi in human samples.

Sort by

MycoReal Kit Aspergillus

Detection of ITS2-region of Aspergillus

MycoReal Kit Candida & A. fumigatus (Module 7-8)

Detection of ITS2-region of Candida and Aspergillus fumigatus

MycoReal® Kit Fungi

Universal (broad-range) detection and identification of DNA of fungi (ITS2-region)

MycoReal® Kit Pneumocystis

Detection of the mt LSU gene of Pneumocystis jirovecii

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Aspergillus fumigatus

Aspergillus fumigatus detection test kit by using qPCR. Aspergillus fumigatus is a fungus and is one of the most frequent cause of invasive fungal infection in immunosuppressed individuals. Additionally, it can cause chronic pulmonary infections, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, or allergic disease in immunocompetent hosts.

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Candida albicans

Candida albicans detection test kit by using qPCR. Candida albicans is a dimorphic fungus and is one of the few species of the genus that cause candidiasis infection in humans. Systemic fungal infections (fungemias) have emerged as important causes of morbidity and mortality in immunocompromised patients. In addition, hospital-acquired infections of C. albicans have become a cause of major health concerns.

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Candida auris

Candida auris detection test kit by using qPCR. Candida auris is an emerging fungus which can cause candidiasis in humans. Healthcare facilities in several countries have reported that C. auris has caused severe illness in hospitalized patients with weakened immune systems. It can cause invasive candidiasi. Some strains of C. auris are resistant to all three major classes of antifungal drugs.

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Cryptococcus neoformans/gattii

Cryptococcus neoformans/gatti detection test kit by using qPCR. Cryptococcus neoformans and C. gattii are two closely related species of encapsulated yeast belonging to the Cryptococcaceae family. C. neoformanss is an obligate aerobe that can live in both plants and animals and can cause cryptococcosis in immunocompromised, hosts. C. gattii (formerly known as Cryptococcus neoformans var. gattii) is found primarily in tropical/subtropical climates and causes human pulmonary cryptococcosis, basal meningitis, and cerebral cryptococcosis.

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Cryptosporidium spp.

Cryptosporidium spp. detection test kit by using qPCR. Cryptosporidium can cause respiratory and gastrointestinal illness (cryptosporidiosis). The disease primarily involves watery diarrhea (intestinal cryptosporidiosis) with or without a persistent cough (respiratory cryptosporidiosis) in both, immunocompetent and immunodeficient humans. In humans, the main ones responsible for the disease are C. parvum and C.hominis (previously C.parvum genotype 1) but C. canis, C. felis, C. meleagridis and C. muris can also cause disease in humans.
