Description
This qPCR kit is intended to detect S.aureus, S.agalactiae, S.uberis and S.dysgalactiae in the same reaction with a high sensitivity (milk, swabs, tissues).
DESCRIPTION:
This qPCR kit is intended to detect S.aureus, S.agalactiae, S.uberis and S.dysgalactiae in the same reaction with a high sensitivity.
SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION:
Mastitis is the most frequent and economically important infectious disease in dairy cattle. Several bacterial species can cause intramammary infections (IMI), either clinical or subclinical. Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae Streptococcus dysgalactiae and Streptococcus uberis are among the most important. S. aureus is a ubiquitous bacterium considered as part of the normal flora. However, it is also a major agent of contagious mastitis. Infected cows usually remain chronically infected and spread the agent among the herd. S. agalactiae can only live and reproduce in the mammary gland. It’s mostly causing subclinical mastitis which tended to be chronic. S. dysgalactiae is another common pathogen that causes mastitis. It is commonly found on the environment, skin, udder, and reproductive organs of the animal. S. uberis is commonly causing both clinical and sub-clinical mastitis. It can colonize both animals and the environment and is predominantly found in manure and organic matter, including bedding materials. Bacterial culture has long served as the golden standard for mastitis testing. However, several studies have demonstrated that PCR-based assays could be useful to complement or to replace conventional bacteriological methods. Biovet Bovichek® Mastitis multiplex qPCR kit is intended to detect S.aureus, S.agalactiae, S.uberis and S.dysgalactiae in the same reaction with a high sensitivity.
CHARACTERISTICS:
- Test per kit: 50 samples
- qPCR Results within two hours

Real Time PCR Detection Kit Leptospira interrogans
Leptospira interrogans detection test kit by using qPCR. Leptospira interrogans is the causative agent of leptospirosis that can affect animals and humans, and is considered the most widespread zoonotic disease. Without treatment, leptospirosis can lead to kidney damage, meningitis, liver failure, respiratory distress, and in severe cases even death. The spread of the disease can be attributed to L. interrogans thriving in soil and water without a host for extended periods.
