PRODUCT:
Antibiotic-Antimycotic Solution is a mixture of Penicillin, Streptomycin, and Amphotericin B (see: formulation) in saline solution, and is used to prevent bacterial and fungal contamination in cell cultures. The effective combined action of the antibiotics Penicillin and Streptomycin result in toxicity towards gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, whereas Amphotericin B acts against yeast and multicellular fungi. This product is provided as a ready-to-use 100x concentrate.
